Little Brown Bugs In Carpet

Some bugs like weevils flour beetles and drugstore beetles live in and feed off certain types of food. Roaches are reddish brown and can usually be found in areas with food or pipes like a kitchen or bathroom. Larvae typically are light brown to black and covered in dense sometimes barbed hairs. Carpet beetle larvae look like very small fuzzy caterpillars.

Three distinct golden hairs are located upon the abdomen at this stage of development. These cousins of the varied carpet beetle are slightly larger in size at around 0 3 0 5cm and have a more rounded shell their shells are light brown speckled with black and white markings. They damage clothing and furnishings and are an asthma. They usually are slightly larger than the adult beetles and measure approximately 2 5 cm in length.

Carpet mites although you may see the terms carpet mites and carpet beetles used interchangeably these two pests are actually quite different. However they are far from harmless.
